We strive to have the safest and most effective Emergency services Fleet for our community.

For 2010 we put in service a new light rescue for Medical Emergency type calls. The vehicle, built by Odyssey Automotive in New Jersey, is a 2010 Chevy Suburban fully equipped with emergency lighting, two-way radios, and advanced medical equipment needed to carry out emergency medical first response. The vehicle will replace a 1997 Chevy Suburban that was donated by the Benevolent Association in 1998. This is the fourth rescue vehicle purchased and donated by the Fireman’s Benevolent Association to our community. Joseph Luker, President of the Benevolent Association along with Chief Bolanowski, presented the keys to the "new” RESCUE 4 Emergency Vehicle to Village of New Hartford Mayor Donald Ryan and members of the Village Board at a ceremony on June 30, 2010. The vehicle was immediately placed into service for all EMS calls.

Also new for 2010 is a Pierce Velocity Heavy Duty Rescue. "RESCUE 2” was placed in service October 1st, 2010. It is of Stainless Steel construction and has a 7 Man cab. It’s used for supporting firefighting operations to car accidents to various other tasks as needed. It carries a various assortment of specialty tools and equipment, has an onboard generator, high power scene lights, and a cascade system for firefighters to refill there self contained breathing bottles on scene. The unit replaces a 1987Hahn Heavy Rescue the Dept. put in service in 1988.
